Improving reading and attention through innovative brain-eye coordination training in VR
MALMÖ, Sweden — July 2025 — Imvi Labs, a Swedish edtech company transforming how people read and focus through immersive VR training, today announced its graduation from the 2024/2025 CDL-Estonia Digital Society stream of the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) at the University of Tartu.
Imvi's scientifically validated solution trains brain-eye coordination by combining streamed video content with structured visual exercises in virtual reality. In just 15 minutes per session, four times a week, users see measurable improvements in reading speed and attention — tackling challenges that affect millions of students and adults worldwide.
Selected from thousands of applicants, Imvi is among a small group of ventures to complete the CDL's rigorous, objective-based mentoring program, designed to help science-driven companies grow faster and build solutions that benefit society at scale.
"Imvi Labs has a proven measurable solution to one of the most fundamental problems of mankind — the inability to read (well), which is increasing alongside higher rates of attention difficulties. The team has used CDL to start thinking like a company with true global potential and to move with the velocity needed to get there."
— Kärt Siilats, Partner, Mojo Capital and CDL Mentor
"We are inspired and grateful as we graduate from CDL. Attending the Supersession at the Rotman School of Management in Toronto this June and meeting other ventures from around the world has been energizing. Huge thanks to our mentors for challenging and believing in us — your guidance has helped us sharpen our vision and accelerate our mission to make reading and focus easier for everyone."
— Peter Carlsson, CEO & Co-Founder, Imvi Labs
Imvi Labs is now expanding its presence across Sweden, Norway, and Finland, and preparing for partnerships in Japan. Early results show strong demand from schools, families, and special education professionals looking for new ways to boost reading and attention.
