Fokussvårigheter kan synas i ögonrörelser

I en studie från 2020 analyserade Jiménez och kollegor ögonens konvergensrörelser hos spanska barn med och utan lässvårigheter. Barnen läste korta ordlistor (riktiga ord eller nonsens) medan deras blickrörelser registrerades. Resultatet? Barn med lässvårigheter visade försämrad, långsammare eller mindre exakt konvergens efter varje ordpresentation – vilket signalerar att visuella styrningsproblem kan påverka läsförmåga och koncentration.

Dessa resultat stärker bilden av att samsyn och visuell uppmärksamhet är centrala för läsning, även när formella diagnoser saknas.
