A validated scientific test

Imvi's test is based on the Convergence Insufficiency Symptom Survey (CISS) – a scientifically developed rating scale used by optometrists and eye care professionals worldwide. CISS was developed by Mitchell Scheiman and colleagues in the early 2000s to create a standardized way to measure symptoms associated with convergence insufficiency.

Binocular vision or dyslexia – or both?

Reading and concentration difficulties can have several causes.

What is the difference between visual perception problems and dyslexia

They are two different types of difficulties, but they can occur together. Visual perception affects how you see the text. Dyslexia affects how you interpret the text. Both can affect reading ability, which is why both may need to be tested.

Consensus problem

How your eyes work together

  • Eyes have difficulty focusing together
  • Affects how you see and follow text
  • Often leads to fatigue when reading

Dyslexia

How your brain processes language

  • Difficulty connecting letters to speech sounds
  • Problems with spelling and word decoding
  • Can make reading slow and energy-consuming

Dyslexia screening

The test only takes 2 minutes. After the test, you will receive your result (an indication of whether it might be dyslexia), an explanation & a video greeting from our CEO. The test is based on an established dyslexia screening test.
