We are proud to collaborate with schools that want to give their students better conditions for learning and development.
Here we tell you about our collaboration with Rangsby School and Ödkarby School in Saltvik on Åland. There, ten students aged 11–12 are currently training with Imvi Labs.
How our training helps students with reading difficulties
We know that many students struggle with reading due to dyslexia, language disorders, or concentration difficulties.
This can affect their confidence, self-esteem and motivation for schoolwork.
Imvi Labs offers training that can improve reading skills and enjoyment of reading.
Our training is based on scientific research that shows that eye movements are crucial for reading. For example, you can increase reading speed, reading comprehension and concentration by training eye coordination, which relieves the brain.
Our app measures and adapts training to each individual, so that you achieve optimal development.
Isa and Emma at the schools in Saltvik tell us
We have recently had meetings with the schools' committed teachers, Isa Blomqvist-Fagerholm and Emma Nylund , who talked about her experiences using Imvi Labs.
Isa is a special education teacher at Rangsby School and Emma is a special education teacher at Ödkarby School.
They were both very pleased with the results and the students' commitment.
Isa says: “We selected students for whom we had previously done extensive reading efforts, but without getting any major results. After six weeks of training, we see improvements in the students' spelling, self-confidence and self-esteem.”
Emma has also played a major role in her students' progress.
- "The students have improved their reading fluency, their reading is less choppy and they are less tired when reading," said Emma.
Emma points out that the students themselves have also said that they can read more, even though they sometimes have to reread sentences, they don't get as tired, at least not as quickly.
At the schools, ten students aged 11–12 are currently training with Imvi Labs.
Both schools have selected students who are struggling with reading, dyslexia and/or language disorders.
Reading speed has increased by an average of 22% after just 6 weeks.

How the schools have organized the training
Emma and Isa have been ambitious and organized in carrying out the training.
It is important to involve the parents. After an information meeting in which all guardians participated, a commitment was also signed.
They have also ensured that students have been able to practice almost every day, either at school or at home.
During holidays or illness, the students' parents have collected the VR glasses and the student has been able to practice at home.
The school has also used its regular paper-based reading test and compared the results with the tests we administer digitally. This is to ensure the progress that the students are making from the training.
How will training continue in the future?
The ten students who have been training for six weeks will continue their training.
The students will train for at least another six weeks.
There are currently plans for more students to be able to begin their training during the start of 2024.
We are grateful for the trust we have received from Rangsby School and Ödkarby School in Åland.
Many thanks to Isa Blomqvist-Fagerholm and Emma Nylund who did a great job and facilitated our collaboration!
