When the eyes don't cooperate - but training makes a difference
🧠Did you know that reading difficulties can sometimes be due to how our eyes work together? It's not about visual acuity – but about the brain's ability to coordinate eye movements. This is called binocular vision.
New article in Special Nest
In a new article in Special Nest, Rune Brautaset, Professor of Optometry at Karolinska Institutet and advisor to Imvi Labs, talks about our VR-based training to improve binocular vision. The article is paywalled, but you can find it here:

Rune emphasizes:
"It is well documented that binocular vision training yields results, and that digital versions provide equivalent results to more traditional training."
How it's experienced in practice
Several thousand people have tried our training so far, and we see recurring stories of improved reading ability, reduced fatigue, and increased motivation. Here are two examples:
📖 Rasmus's story – from Sydsvenskan
Rasmus Thornberg has dyslexia and tried our training for 12 weeks. The result?
"When I read aloud to the children, I notice that I no longer stumble."

📖 Viola's story – from Svenska Dagbladet
Viola, a primary school student, struggled with reading and quickly got tired. But after training with Imvi Read, she can read for longer – and enjoys it again.

Scientifically based – and easy to get started
The training is based on well-known and documented binocular vision training, digitized to be accessible at home with VR glasses and an app. It does not require a formal diagnosis, you can start with our self-assessment test (CISS) to see if it might be for you or your child.
