Significant optical improvements were measured after only 8 training sessions of 15 minutes each, i.e., a total of 120 minutes of training. From this, it can be concluded that the technology has good effect and that the method is reliable. The method was perceived as simple, and the likelihood of good compliance if the method were prescribed is high. For the method to yield long-lasting results, training should occur over a longer period than two weeks.
Michael Malmqvist, co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at imvi labs: “It is very gratifying that we have once again had confirmation that our patented method is very effective. The study is completely in line with a survey conducted in spring 2021 with VR glasses, and earlier research from 2011–2020 with desktop and 3D glasses. The results also reflect the results we see from our customers, where everyone who completes our training improves their reading speed. Compared to the Beta product used in the thesis, the user experience has evolved significantly with many more images and videos to make the training more entertaining.”
