Teacher Maria Hedström talks about her Imvi training

Lärare Maria Hedström berättar om sin Imvi-träning

Maria Hedstrom, @lararemariahedstrom on Instagram, has now been training with our patented training for 8 weeks. We interviewed her to hear how she experiences our training so far!

1. What do you think about our training?

I found it tough at first, an adjustment to having to sit so focused which was challenging due to my nerve damage which leads to migraines. This meant that I had to be in close contact with the support to see if any settings needed adjusting, and I received good support from the support. What I experienced at the beginning was that my eyes were not keeping up – I got very tired. The feeling was that I almost wanted to fall asleep, but after a week it turned around. I knew my eyes would be sensitive so I chose to watch still images instead of streamed video.

Working out for 15 minutes a day became my feel-good moment. It became a moment where I could focus completely on myself, I often work out in the evening after work and dinner when I am quite tired after a long day. I have set up the training in such a way that I have chosen to listen to an audiobook in combination with beautiful images. The positive thing for me has been that the training makes me unwind. Imvi has given me 15 minutes to get back on track and I feel calmer after the VR training, I get back on track and my thoughts disperse. If I work out during the weekend, I often do it in the morning and then the calmness lasts for the rest of the day – so thanks to Imvi I have had the opportunity to not only practice my common sense but also my calmness for 8 weeks.

2. What has been the best thing about the training?

I'm not as tired in the head anymore. It's like a more alert Maria now. A person close to me has commented on two different occasions that my eyes look so alert these days, and she doesn't even know that I'm doing VR training. My experience of the training is that I can read more, in the classroom I've noticed a difference in that I can read aloud to the students to a higher and longer extent.

3. Would you have recommended our training?

Yes, I really do! It's no longer tiring to train like it was in the beginning, now it's just nice. I have a slight squint and I see it as an investment in my own eye condition.

4. How does it feel to have made big improvements after just 8 out of 12 weeks?

It feels like the most natural thing I've done in my entire life, and I've asked myself why haven't I done this before?

5. Now you're not fully trained, you have more weeks left to train, can you still recommend the training?

Oh yes, the fatigue in the brain has disappeared and that is the biggest gain. Because of my nerve damage, I have not had the same energy level as everyone else and have therefore struggled for a long time with being able to do as much as others. Now I have more energy and that is thanks to Imvi and the VR training.

This is how our training works:

Stream your favorite series in VR

Train easily by watching content via the Imvis app.

Workout while streaming your favorite shows

Through the app you choose what type of content you want to watch. We currently support content from Youtube, SVT Play, Binogi, UR Play and content directly from your phone's camera roll.

Train your consensus

The app makes the image swing from right to left, but you perceive it as an image.

You watch series -
Our App does the rest

The training focuses on improving the brain's control of the eyes for better eye coordination. This improves blood flow and oxygenation of the brain, which increases reading speed, reading endurance and concentration.

Follow your progress

In the app you can easily follow your progress and get tips for continued training.

Personalized tips based on your progress

In the app you can follow your or your children's development and results. We offer free accounts for parents to monitor their children's progress! After completing the training, you will receive personal recommendations for further training based on your results and progress.
