Imvis' three co-founders are Michael Malmqvist, who invented the method and has worked with vision training for 15 years, Rune Brautaset, who is a professor in Optometi and has researched vision problems, and the company's CEO Peter Carlsson, who has extensive experience in leadership and business.

Imvi is raising seven million kronor to build a team and focus on sales in Sweden, and prepare for international expansion. Investors include imvi chairman Johan Billgren, co-founder of inRiver, Anders Holm, who sits on the board, Tassaka Invest and I Love Lund, who were recently listed on Spotlight.

The patented training is very effective. A master's thesis at the Opticianship Program at Karolinska Institutet this spring showed significant optical improvements after just two weeks of training.
All customers who have trained for 12 weeks have improved their reading speed. You train by looking at moving images or videos in the app, at least 15 minutes at a time, and at least 4 times a week.
Despite a tougher investment climate, it was not difficult to find capital. During the year, Imvi has delivered what it said it would, launching the product with fantastic results and great customer reviews. Most of the capital comes from business angels and seed investors, says Johan Billgren, Imvi's co-owner and chairman of the board.
