Imvi Labs to the finals of SKAPA

Imvi Labs till final i SKAPA

The jury's motivation reads: "With Imvi Labs' now commercialized and patented solution for eye coordination training, users can significantly increase their reading and concentration skills with minimal training, saving time, money and energy. The product is considered to have global potential and great future success."

–We are very happy about the nomination for the national award and above all for the opportunity to showcase ourselves to a larger audience. As a fairly new company with a huge market to reach, we are grateful for all the support so that we can in turn help more people overcome their reading difficulties, says Imvi Labs CEO Peter Carlsson.

Vision problems mean that the coordination of the eyes does not work properly and causes various forms of reading difficulties. Studies show that around ten percent of the population suffers from vision problems – and Imvi Lab's solution of training using an application and VR technology has shown very promising results. The technology is already being used in several schools in Sweden.

–Reading difficulties can arise for many different reasons and our training works regardless of the reason. Everyone who has tried it has shown better results after twelve weeks of training, says Peter Carlsson.

The SKAPA Prize is Sweden's largest innovation prize, with the aim of providing support to inventors to develop their ideas. SKAPA is a foundation that was established in memory of Alfred Nobel and awarded its first prize in 1986. The foundation is supported by Stockholmsmässan and the Swedish Inventors' Association with support from Almi Företagspartner AB, VINNOVA, the Agne Johansson Memorial Foundation and the Swedish Patent and Registration Office.

Imvi Labs was started in 2021 by Rune Brautaset, Sweden's first professor of optometry, Michael Malmqvist, who invented VR training, and the company's CEO Peter Carlsson.

Imvi Labs, which develops consensus training for reading problems, became one of the Skåne winners in this year's edition of the SKAPA prize, which was awarded by Almi Skåne, on Tuesday evening. The competition now continues in Stockholm, where the national winners will be chosen on Thursday.

Slik fungerer vår trening:

Strøm favorittserier i VR
