Recently, Imvi Labs visited Friskolan Hästens in Farsta again.
A full class of third-grade students trained with our patented VR training for 12 weeks during the fall semester. In addition, ten selected students from fourth and fifth grade also trained, as they were assessed to have reading difficulties.
The full class achieved great results, and everyone increased their reading speed! The reading test consists of three parts, and in the section most similar to regular reading, the students showed the following improvements:
- Average for all students: +145%
- For the 5 students who had binocular vision issues at the start: +187%
- For the 13 students who did not have binocular vision issues at the start: +129%
- For the 10 students who initially scored above the class average in reading speed: +61%
- For the 8 students who initially scored below the class average in reading speed: +250%
One of the students shared their experience after training with VR:
“Now I can read faster. When I read a word now, I already see the next word… I didn’t before. My reading flow is better now. I had fluency before, but not as good as now. It’s easier to concentrate, and I can also write faster.”
All the students said they found the training simple and fun!
