EU Recognizes Innovative Post-Stroke Project: “Impacting post stroke patients and society with vergence training” by Imvi Labs and Accelerated Growth Lab
Imvi Labs, based in Malmö, Sweden, in collaboration with Accelerated Growth Lab, from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is proud to announce that their groundbreaking project, “Impacting post stroke patients and society with vergence training”, has been pre-approved for EU support under the DIGIT-PRE open call program. The project matches the challenge: Improving care on post-stroke patients.
This collaborative initiative aims to revolutionize post-stroke care through an innovative digital solution developed by Imvi Labs and the expertise of Accelerated Growth Lab. The DIGIT-PRE program, known for supporting cutting-edge projects, has recognized the potential impact of this venture on stroke recovery and rehabilitation.
About “Impacting post stroke patients and society with vergence training”:
“Impacting post stroke patients and society with vergence training” is a pioneering project designed to address the challenges faced by stroke survivors during the recovery process.
Key Objectives:
- Further develop Imvi Labs’ solution used for strengthening eye-coordination with a focus on reading improvement, to also fit post stroke patients suffering from vergence problems with double image, reduced field of sight, low energy and reduced memory.
- Improve accessibility to vergence rehabilitation programs through innovative technology that makes the training easy, entertaining, and efficient.
- Enhance overall quality of life for stroke survivors through targeted interventions.
-Study the effects of the training in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet.

Rune Brautaset, professor in Optometry at Karolinska Institutet stated: “I have been studying binocular vision disorders and remedies for 25 years, and am excited to see the effects of this modern VR-based training on stroke patients. Previous studies with Imvi Labs solution have shown great efficiency and a high likelihood of training compliance due to the fact that the training is entertaining. My research has shown that training compliance is essential for the outcome and for results to be permanent.”
